I am an award winning Mental Health Therapist under the umbrella of the Solution Focused Approach, specialising in working with children and young people. I offer Clinical Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapist (SFBT-Talking Therapy) and Trauma therapy using Muss Rewind and I am based in Torquay, South Devon.
I have a degree in Education and I worked as a qualified lecturer with students aged 14-19 and in adult education for over 20years and now I lecturer with Inspiraology.
Having worked for a long time with young people I noticed that more and more students were suffering with mental health such as anxiety, low mood and low confidence and I wanted to understand more about mental health and to be able to help.
I gained my qualification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist from the prestigious training academy, Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) and I trained with BRIEF International to become a fully qualified talking therapist in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, both of which are the leading training academies in the UK and worldwide.
I am so proud to have been recognised in my work and have been awarded Highly Commended Sole Trader 2023 by Devon Women in Business, Hypnotherapist of the Year 20/21 by Prestige Awards and to have been shortlisted by The UK’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards. It really has been an honour to work with my clients of all ages and to be part of their journey moving forward in their lives. I truly do LOVE my job!
I am fully insured and have a full up to date DBS check and I am experienced in treating children and young people. I was delighted to be recognised for my work with young people by being voted The Best Children and Young People’s Mental Health Therapist 2022, Devon by The Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Awards.
I pride myself in specialising in services which give my clients the opportunity to change their lives for the better and offer a caring and professional service, and being privileged to be able to be part of my clients’ journey moving forward in their lives bringing about happiness, success and confidence.
I also currently work in the UK’s top rated sixth form in Exeter, Devon, for one day a week supporting students struggling with life’s difficulties and I am a mum with three beautiful daughters, which, even though they are grown up now, still keep me on my toes!
